W3C iconThe XHTML used to prepare this site has been independently validated by W3C.org.

All the chemical formulae were drawn using ChemWindowsTM (Softshell Inc.). All mass spectra, NMR spectra and many other figures were prepared using Metafile CompanionTM (companionsoftware.com).

Much of the data presented in these pages was from original research funded by the Scottish Executive Environment and Rural Affairs Department. I am indebted to the Scottish Crop Research Institute (Invergowrie, Dundee, Scotland (DD2 5DA) for providing the library and laboratory facilities that first made this website possible.

This webpage in the Lipid Library is the copyright of W.W. Christie. Many of these pages were based on short papers written for the journal "Lipid Technology" then owned by P.J. Barnes & Associates (The Oily Press Ltd), who kindly gave permission for publication. However, all have been substantially updated over the years and bear little relationship to the original publications. There are also some original articles and one from INFORM, for which permission from AOCS to publish is gratefully acknowledged.
