Arun S. Moorthy
Arun S. Moorthy is a Director's Postdoctoral Fellow and Mathematical Statistician at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where he works on developing, analyzing and improving mass spectral library-search algorithms with the Mass Spectrometry Data Center. He was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Marangoni Research Lab (Food Science) at the University of Guelph, where his research focused on estimating physical properties and phase behaviour of fat-systems. Prior still, he was a graduate student in the Eberl Computational Biomathematics Laboratory (Math&Stats) at the University of Guelph, where he developed the compuGUT mathematical model for exploring anaerobic digestion in the human colon.
Arun's primary role with the AOCS Lipids Library is to help improve availability, analysis, and discussion of physical and chemical measurements of lipid systems. Please contact him if you have any questions about the available data, or if you would like to contribute measurements to the Library.
