Scott Bloomer Ph.D

Scott graduated from the Department of Biotechnology of the University of Lund, Sweden with a doctorate focused on lipase-catalyzed lipid modifications. His subsequent work at Cargill Research encompassed all facets of industrial lipid processing, with forays into cocoa. Following that, he was employed a Land O'Lakes doing basic research in enzymatic treatment of dairy products, with emphasis on butter. From 2004-2017, he managed the oils and fats patent portfolio at Archer Daniels Midland Co. He works with inventors to capture their inventions, and drafts and prosecutes patent applications. Scott is a registered US Patent Agent. Scott is currently the Technical Director at AOCS.
