Robert Ringseis and Klaus Eder
PD Dr Robert Ringseis Dr. troph., rer. nat habil.
Robert Ringseis received his PhD (Dr. troph.) and his advanced PhD (Habilitation) from the Martin-Luther-Universit?t of Halle (Saale), Germany in 2003 and 2008, respectively. He is Assistant Professor at the Chair of Animal Nutrition, Technische Universit?t M?nchen (since 2009), and was Research Associate and Assistant Professor at the Chair of Nutrition Physiology, Martin-Luther-Universit?t Halle-Wittenberg (2003 to 2009), and Associate Professor/Private Lecturer (PD) for Nutritional Sciences at the Martin-Luther-Universit?t Halle-Wittenberg (2008 to 2009). He is an expert in the field of influence of lipid compounds (conjugated linoleic acids, oxidized fatty acids, oxysterols) on lipid metabolism in mammals.
His doctoral thesis was honored by the Frinz-Winter-Award (Eur 12.500). He is member of the „German Society of Nutrition“, and the “German Society of Clinical Nutrition”, and is member in the editorial board of “Lipids Insights”. He has authored and co-authored more than 60 publications, thereof 33 peer-reviewed original papers and 5 peer-reviewed reviews in scientific journals.
Prof. Dr. Klaus Eder Dr. oec. troph., Dr. habil.
Klaus Eder received his PhD (Dr. oec. troph.) and his advanced PhD (Habilitation) from the Technische Universit?t M?nchen, Germany in 1991 and 1995, respectively. He is Professor at the Chair of Animal Nutrition, Technische Universit?t M?nchen (since 2009), and was Professor at the Chair of Quality of Animal Products, Georg-August-Universit?t G?ttingen (1997 to 1998), and Professor at the Chair of Nutrition Physiology at the Martin-Luther-Universit?t Halle-Wittenberg (1998 to 2009). He is an expert in the field of influences of dietary components (lipid compounds, proteins, carnitine) on lipid metabolism in mammals.
He has received several scientific awards including the Justus-von-Liebig research award, the Henneberg-Lehmann research award, and the Heinrich-Baur research award for his outstanding scientific achievements. He is member, deputy chairman and senator in the section "Agricultural- and Nutritional Sciences“ of the Deutsche Akademie der Naturforscher Leopoldina (since 2008 National Academy of Sciences), and member in the executive board of the „German Society of Nutrition“. In addition, he is member in the editorial board of several scientific journals including “British Journal of Nutrition”, “Journal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition”, “Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism”, and “Archives of Animal Nutrition”. He has authored and co-authored more than 400 publications, thereof about 220 peer-reviewed original papers in scientific journals.
