Jitao Zou is a Senior Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada (NRC)-Plant Biotechnology Institute and adjunct professor at the Biology Department, University of Saskatchewan. Jitao received his PhD (1990) from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was a Post-doctoral Fellow at Yale University prior to joining NRC. Jitao’s current research activities are centered on seed oil biosynthesis. Employing a range of Genomic and Molecular Genetic tools, he is also interested in understanding metabolic pathway interactions pertinent to carbon flux control during seed development.
