Ruth Welti, B.Sc. Ph.D
Ruth Welti received her B.S. from the University of Connecticut and her Ph.D. from Washington University in St. Louis. She did postdoctoral work at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Since 1985, she has been a faculty member at Kansas State University, where she is currently a Professor of Biology and Director of the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center. Her research currently focuses on the role of lipids in plant stress. She works closely with Xuemin “Sam” Wang and Jyoti Shah. In her role at the Kansas Lipidomics Research Center, she participates in many collaborative projects employing lipidomic analysis.
