Abdelali Hannoufa M.Sc., Ph.D.
Abdelali Hannoufa obtained a M.Sc. in plant biochemistry from Concordia University (Montréal) and a Ph.D. in plant molecular biology from York University (Toronto). After graduation he joined Queen’s University as a postdoctoral fellow where he studied phosphate deficiency responsive genes. He then joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada in 1999 as a research scientist. The main focus of his current research is to investigate the regulation of plant secondary metabolism with the aim of improving the nutritional qualities of major crops and producing high value products.
